2:5 So David sent messengers to the people of Jabesh Gilead and told them, “May you be blessed by the Lord because you have shown this kindness ¹  to your lord Saul by burying him.

2 Samuel 20:2

20:2 So all the men of Israel deserted ²  David and followed Sheba son of Bicri. But the men of Judah stuck by their king all the way from the Jordan River ³  to Jerusalem. ⁴
